The Papua New Guinea national cricket team, nicknamed the Barramundis, is the team that represents the country of Papua New Guinea in international cricket. It is organised by Cricket PNG, an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1973. Papua New Guinea is the strongest team in the ICC East Asia-Pacific region, winning the most ICC regional tournaments. The team has also played in every edition of the World Cup Qualifier (previously the ICC Trophy). Furthermore, Papua New Guinea holds the world record for the highest score in a one-day match, making 572/7 against New Caledonia in 2007.
