There is free parking available at every race meeting which does not need to be prebooked.
There are allocated accessible parking spaces in the Members Car Park, the Main Car Park, and the Course Enclosure. All of the designated parking is close to the entrance gates.
There are taxis available after a raceday, however it is advised that you pre-book one in advance. There are taxi stands at Castle Cary and Gillingham stations.
Public bus route 667 stops at the Wincanton Racecourse stop which is just a 400 m (5 min) walk from the entrance.
The racecourse offers a complimentary bus service on each raceday; for times, please visit the raceday you would like to attend on The Jockey Club website.
The nearest train station is Templecombe. There is a raceday courtesy bus service from Templecombe to the racecourse and it meets the trains from Waterloo and Exeter before racing and returns to the station at the end of the day. Times vary according to the train timetable and race times but can be found on the fixture's page on this website in the run up to the day.
Other stations in the area are Castle Cary, which is on the Paddington-Bristol line and is 8 miles north of Wincanton, and Bruton which is on the same line and is approximately 4 miles from Wincanton.
Gillingham Station is on the London-Waterloo line and is approximately 9 miles from Wincanton. There are taxi stands at Castle Cary and Gillingham stations.

Visitors wishing to travel by helicopter will be met by a courtesy vehicle and are requested to telephone the Racecourse Office in advance to obtain the landing position. Please note that helicopters are not permitted to land inside the track on the golf course.
Wincanton Racecourse is 1.6 km (19 min) from the centre of Wincanton - though please be advised that the road is not particularly suitable for pedestrians - where you will find a small selection of shops, pubs, and eateries. For more choices, it is recommended that visitors utilise public transport links or drive.
