Dustin Poirier is an American MMA fighter, born in Louisiana on 19 January 1989, known as “The Diamond.”
📜 History
Poirier turned professional in 2009, before joining World Extreme Cagefighting the following year. The WEC merged with the UFC just 2 months after he made his debut, and Poirier made his first UFC appearance in 2011.
Poirier won the interim lightweight championship when he beat Max Holloway in 2019. Along with Holloway, Poirier has also scored notable victories over several other former UFC champions, including Conor McGregor, Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje, and Anthony Pettis.
