The best postcode for Sat-Nav users attempting to reach Racecourse Road is NG25 0QB. Due to local authority restrictions, Occupation Lane and Station Road in Rolleston cannot be used as a means of access for Sunday and all Floodlight race meetings, so please follow the yellow diversion signs.
There is ample parking available at the racecourse and it is free.
There are also disabled car parking spaces in car parks A and B.
There is an excellent and very frequent bus service from Nottingham to Southwell 7 days a week, This is the No. 26 service from stop K1 at Nottingham Bus Station.
The racecourse welcomes coach groups to the racecourse. On arrival, coaches will be directed to allocated coach parking.
The nearest station is Rolleston which is adjacent to the course (just a 80 m (1 min) walk from the entrance). Rolleston Train Station lies on the Nottingham to Lincoln line. If you arrive at Newark Station, then it is about a 9-mile journey to Racecourse Road, Southwell. The operator East Midlands Trains runs additional train services calling at Rolleston on racedays in line with the first and last race times. As Southwell Racecourse is located in such a rural area, it is not advised that racegoers walk to or from the course, but instead driving or use public transport.
