After a temporary move to Charlotte, North Carolina in December 2023 due to renovations at Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau in, the bowl returned to the Bahamas in January 2025.
The game has tie-ins with Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference, meaning one team from each of these conferences will take to the field at Thomas Robinson Stadium in January.
In 2025, the Buffalo Bulls defeated the Liberty Flames to take home the trophy.
